What Friends are Made of...Happy Birthday Miss -H-

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."- Anais Nin

Shortly after moving to this great state, we met Miss -H- and her Mommy. They have become great friends of ours. Since we met,
-A- was added to our family and Miss -A- joined their family a week later last July. Being a military family, the time is quickly approaching for them to move away. Their family is here, so we can only hope that they will return, if nothing else at least we know they'll visit!

Since Miss -H- is such an important part of -N-'s life thus far, I have decided it is very important to spotlight Miss -H- on her birthday.
Happy 3rd Birthday Miss -H-!
This has become one of -N-'s best friends. They play so well together and anytime they are around each other they become inseparable.

"A hug is worth a thousand words. A friend is worth more."
-Author Unknown

-N- and -H- are a month apart in age, and share so many interests. They love to get dirty, they love to play, and play hard. They giggle, and tickle, and run, and climb, and color, and paint, and well there isn't much that they don't enjoy doing with each other. She holds a special place in my little man's heart, and it just makes me melt!

"Friends are the most important ingredient in this recipe of life."

"It takes a long time to grow an old friend." - by John Leonard
...and since they have spent over half of their lives getting to know each other, I would have to say they are very good "old friends".

As the big day approaches, we will spend as much time as we can enjoying these amazing friends, and we wish them well on their journey to their new home in California. We will miss you all dearly!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

So being that there is some Irish blood in these veins, we do St. Patty's Day right, all kinds of GREEN minus the corn beef and hash, of course.

We woke up and enjoyed some Green Shamrock pancakes. Yum!

Then I headed out to shop with the girls, while the boys played in the back yard.

Since it was their last day before they headed home we barbecued, had some family over to visit and just enjoyed the gorgeous weather.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We miss you all dearly and can't wait to see you again this summer.

Did Someone Say Cowgirl?

So when we heard that -B-'s bro and family were coming out to visit for spring break, we were so excited! We had a wonderful 3 and 1/2 days enjoying each other, from going shopping to visiting museums and the stockyards, to just playing in the backyard and barbecuing.

We had so much fun and hated to see them leave!!

These are video's of some of the kids riding a bucking Bronco.

And a couple pics of the kids playing at the museum.

Then we headed down to The Stockyards and Stockyard Station and enjoyed taking in the sites that go with being in a state like Texas.

And what's a stockyard without a real live cattle drive!?!

While here they even had the chance to hunt for fossilized rocks and cacti out at my parents' house.

Taking a Stand!

-A- decided he would attempt to stand up all by himself, and look at him go, just by sure luck I had the camera near by to capture it on film!

Now we wait for what this baby boy has in store for us, somehow I get the feeling it is going to be much sooner than we would like!

A Family that Bounces Together, Stays Together

For -N-'s birthday we rented a bounce house. He was exstatic to have his "very own bounce house in his very own back yard", so when the news that we had to keep it longer came, because they couldn't make it out to pick it up that night, it was music to his ears. So after church we headed home to blow it up one last time and jump as a family.

This was -A-'s first time to enjoy a bounce house, and since he has become quite the pro in his jumparoo, it was right up his alley!
